Remember the Future

October 19th, 2008 by h0m

Remember what the future looked like 20 years ago. Back to the future had us riding hovoring skateboards and using trash as fossil fuel. Lets look further in the past. Star trek and Star Wars had us flying around the universe. Phones that we carry around are here. Cell phones make our lives easier and its one of the futuristic things that we have now but what about the holograhic TVs.

What about the food we eat in the form of diet pills.

More importantly, what about the robots that help us out in the kitchen Jetsons style. I have a roomba at my house but that thing is no where close to what i imagined. Its not even an R2D2 type robot.

The things were are driving, eating, and wearing are all stuff they had in the 50s. Cars are the same. We still wear jeans and suits. What happened to the silver foil clothes we were promised? I think food will always be the same but i have hope in our form of transportation and apparel.

Politics and the web

October 19th, 2008 by h0m

There’s been a recent trend in the way politics is run. The political machines are shifting a lot of campaign funds into the internet. Still the ad of choice is television but i’m positive that in the near future, internet will be the focus. The internet is fast. News changes second by second and the internet is the only medium that can follow it. The new generation is already relying on the internet for entertainment and news. Its only natural that the slower business and political machines follow. Facebook recently announced the partnership with ABC news. This is big news and marks another milestone for facebook. The company is inching closer and closer to myspace and who know, maybe it will make a friendster out of myspace. Voting seems only natural to shift towards the internet.

Looking at American Idol and the NBA’s all star balloting shows that positive effects of voting via web. I think voting will rise once it gets online. No more going to the balloting booth or mailing in anything. The fear of hacking is an issue but didn’t Bush fix the election not to long ago. Internet can be made safe. Look at all the online banking systems. Why doesn’t the goverment make more internet functions. That would speed up the delayed process with immigration, taxes, and payments. Imagine a future where everything from your parking ticket to your DMV records can be done fast from the comfort of your own home.

I guess my children will have a bright future if only we don’t destroy the planet first.

Inspired to start my blog

October 19th, 2008 by h0m

I’ve been following many different blogs the past few weeks. Makes me want to get started in this field. I’ve been reading johnchow and doshdosh and of course problogger. There are a few small blogs i’ve been keeping a close eye on. Bloggernoob has been a good site to check up on the progress. The bloggernoob made over $700 in his first month as a blogger. This seems realistic enough and worth trying out.

starting the postings

October 19th, 2008 by h0m

I’ve decided that i will start posting every few days on h0m dot com. Leaving it unposted is not much better then have godaddy just park on it their server. Just a few words here and there could mean the difference between profits in a month or year. This is a person slash business site for h0m but you never know what will happen in the blogosphere. Making money is always about ads and always helps to get more posts indexed.

Value of your links

October 17th, 2008 by h0m

It is important to know that there is value in the links that you give out to other web sites. Google follows your links and gives it some sort of value. You should not easily give out links to any random web sites. When you link to a web site, you should consider why you are linking in the first place. I like to link to sites that i personally like. Also, i like to link to sites that have some sort of authority in the keywords i am looking for. Remember that it is important to get back links to you own site as well. When you link to a site, think about the fact that you are giving that web site something of value.

Try to link to sites that are more then likely to link to you in return. Think of it like a relationship. If only one person is always giving, then that relationships will eventually fail. Try to build relationships with other people in your niche. Find other web sites that are similar to your own and give and take links from that sites.

Making money with you blog is not that hard to do. As long as you keep your focus and post updates often, it will be easy to start making a few bucks with you blog. I learned about making money by visiting the blogger over at bloggernoob.com. Noob’s make money online blog helped me understand the detailed of blog monetization. I think that everyone who owns a blog should visit his web site to learn how to make money online.

There are a lot of blogs that claim to be money blog, but most of them are clones of the popular MMO blogs. When i read a blog, i like the post to be original. I want to read a blog post that has a different voice. I do not want to be spoon fed garbage that was said on another blog. I’d rather read a blog that was honest with me. Bloggernoob dot com is that type of blog. The blogger who blogs on bloggernoob.com like to keep thing real. Visit the blog to learn more about making money online.
