We live in the modern age. Most of us live in developed countries. If you are reading this blog post, you probably live a pretty good life. Most of us have tvs and computers. Most of us have high speed internet access at home. We have all the food that we can imagine. We do not need to worry about keeping out bellies full. In fact, it is the opposite of olden times. Back in the day, people sometimes starved to death. But now, we starve ourselves to be more attractive. I think that this type of social pressure is bad for us. Being over weight is a health concern. But, constantly watching your weight is a problem as well. I personally believe that we should not fall prey to the mass media. We need to be more comfortable with the way we look. We shouldn’t let the magazines and the tv shoes tell us how to look. We should all make up our own minds about the weight issue. I think that women have a harder time with all of this. They fell really unhappy with the way they look. I have a few friends who i consider to be really attractive. All of them view themselves as being too fat.

I am not a superstitious person. I think that i used to be when i was younger. I used to be very religious as well. I think that it is human nature to be superstitious. We all want to understand things. It is easy to make sense of complicated and deep issues with superstition. I started being really critical about this when i got into college. It seemed like the world started to make more sense to me. I realize that our minds can not understand everything. But, if you start researching, you will find a lot of rational reasons for most things. Most people are too lazy or ignorant to try to learn new things. They would rather have someone give them an easy answer. I think that this is the root of superstition. Fortune tellers are all the same in my book. They are business types. They want to make money. Most rely on marketing and human ignorance to get new business. In the Eastern countries, fortune tellers are a big part of the economy. A lot of big time business men go to these fortune tellers for advice. They sometimes pay a lot of money for these sessions.

Married life is really hard. I found this out the hard way. I found out a few months after I got married. Actually, I found this out about two days before the wedding. I think that we are all brain washed into thinking that marriage is holy. Most of the world religions advocate marriage. But, when you think about it, marriage seems unnatural. It is unnatural to have only one sex partner. It is unnatural to have to spend most of your time with the same person. It is unnatural to set such high moral values to a man or woman. It might just be one big scam. Marriage is a big part of out social engine. It builds up society. It makes people spend money. It also creates jobs and new markets. If no body got married, the whole diamond and real estate industry would tank. Valentines day would be nothing. The candy and gift card industry would suffer as well. The whole baby industry would go bankrupt. Modern day society needs marriage. It is almost as important to the masses as religion. It creates a false sense of security. We all know how important that is for our sanity.

I recently started working at home. I still get out of my house for work, but i try to do more at home. I even set up a pretty sweet home office for myself in my house. I wanted to create a space that forced me to be productive. I think that working from home can be a bit tricky. You have to really be displined. You need to make sure that you are not distracted. I know a lot of people who have tried and failed at the whole work at home thing. I was warned about how difficult it can be. But, i think that i am able to control myself. I think that i am able to manage my time wisely. I try to be careful with my time. I also try to create a seperate space in my home. I want my home office to look and feel like a real office. I just treat it like a real office. I try to get up and get dressed for work. I try to convince myself that i have a really short commute. I might end up renting out a small office close to my home. If this doesn’t work out as planned, i will have to do just that.

I recently acquired a really nice pasta domain name. I wanted to set up a nice pasta web site. I think that i will start with a cooking or recipe type of site. I will try to make it personal. I bought the domain as an investment. But, i also am a fan of pasta. I love pasta. I love eating all kinds of pasta. Buying the domain name forces me to learn more about something i love to begin with.

I try to do these kinds of mini projects. I find these kinds of things to be really interesting. I wanted to share with you guys one of my favorite pasta recipes. Making pasta is really easy. All you need to do is cook the pasta well. Make sure that you do not under cook or over cook the noodles. Make sure that you keep stirring the sauce. Add in a lot of fresh vegetables and you are home free. I try to add in different kinds of sauces to the mix. I am experimenting with white wine and olive oil. I hope to be able to share with you my new creation.

Domain names are the home base for web sites. Generic domain names are the most expensive kind of domain names. These domains are coveted by domainers and business owners. Major corporations will buy up these generic word domains from domainers at high prices. If you look at the web site over at hotels dot com, you will understand my point. The domain name serves at the perfect web address for a hotel booking site. The plural form of the dot com domain isn’t that bad either. In this case, it might even be better then the singular hotel dot com. This applies to all kinds of domain names. When i talk about generic domain names, i am only talking about the dot com variety. People do not want to pay that much for the other extensions. That is why the other extensions have no value in my eyes. Registering a dot net or dot org for 10 dollars is a waste of money. It is better to get the dot com at the same price. I say this because dot coms rule the internet. People never punch in dot net or dot org.

I keep checking the price listing for the new amazon kindle 2. I want to get one really bad. I do not have the money to spend on this new toy. I actually do have 350 to spend, but i am not sure if i should buy it right now or not. I have other things that i would like to buy. I would like to purchase the ipod touch. I want it because i want to save up the battery on my iphone. I spend a lot of time on my iphone. I do not want the battery on my iphone to go out in the near future. So, when i am at home, i can use my ipod touch to check email and surf the web in bed. I can also play games on my ipod touch. I do not know why i am already calling it my ipod touch. I haven’t decided if i will buy it or not. I think that i have an amazon check coming to me in a few weeks. When it comes, i will have to decide between the kindle 2 or the ipod touch. I think that i will think this over real seriously in the next few weeks. I wish that i could become frivilous and just buy both. But, i know that my wife will get mad at me if i do.

I am reading the latest issue of Fast Company magazine right now. I love the new article about the 50 most innovate companies. I think that my favorite articles was about the guy who set up zappos dot com. I was surprised to see a guy that was so young. I also took notice because the guys reminded me of myself. It turns out that he made around three hundred million dollars during the first internet boom. He started a internet marketing company that eventually sold to microsoft. The link exchange company was really hot at the time. I think that he hit the jackpot. Most people would say that he is a natural leader. But, if given the chance, i am sure that a lot of people could replicate his success. I think that you need to have a lot of money to be successful. You can start with zero, but you are behind in the race is you do. There are a lot of people who start their businesses with heavy funding. That is not to say that you can’t success without money. I am just saying that it makes things a lot easier.

I think that the bathroom is my own personal library. The bathroom is where i do most of my print reading. I spend a lot of hours in front of the computer. I use the computer and the internet for work. I also spend a lot of time reading blogs and articles. But, i rarely pick up a book or a magazine in front of the computer. I have no need to. The only time i open up a book is when i need to study some coding. That is why i like my bathroom. I can just sit there in my own private space and read. I love reading my novels in the bathroom. I feel like i am in my own little world. i feel like i am in a cave. I feel like a little kid in his tree house. I love my bathroom. I consider it to be my favorite room in the whole house. If you want to impress your guests, you should set up a nice kitchen. If you want to please the kids, you should set up a nice entertainment room. If you want your own private space for reading, upgrade your bathroom.

I just came back from the chicago auto show. I was excited to hear that the show was going on over at the convention center. I finished off my work and headed toward the auto show. I told my wife to just get dressed and get the camera. I remember when we were dating in college. She would carry around notebooks with fancy cars in them. I wanted her to remember those times. When we arrived at the convention center, she still wasn’t sure what we were doing there. She just assumed that i was going to take pictures outside. Just outside the convention center here in Chicago, there is an amazing view. She assumed that i wanted to take some pictures of the Chicago city scape. But, i told her that we were going inside. She was delighted and excited at the idea. We walked around and pretended to be rich. We picked out our dream cars and just had a ball. It was nice to get out of the house tonight. It was fun because we were reminded of how cool it was when we were young. Ahhh, to be young again. It is a great feeling.
