putting pictures in your blog posts
October 20th, 2008 by h0mPutting pictures in your blog posts works on many different levels. First of all, when you insert an image with you written words, your readers will find it to be more pleasant. A good images has the ability to make people want to click and read the post that you just wrote. It also does a good job of helping you out with you SEO efforts. Search engines like to crawl for image files. Make sure that you label and name your image files correctly. Try to limit the size of you image file. If your visitor has to wait for the image file to load, you might end up losing that internet visitor.
Try to keep the size of your file to under 20kb. Anything bigger then that should be linked to the original image file. Try to thumbnail the larger image files. I have a few blogs that are filled with image files. I get at least a hundred hits per day from google image searches. Try to get in the habit of inserting image files to each and every one of your posts.
