the common area at home
The common area can be found in most of the newer condo buildings. I currently live in a 44 story building. The common area in my home is really nice. They first floor lobby and the mail box area are all consider to be common areas. The corridors and the health center is also an important part of the common area. I think that large buildings need to have a lot of space saved up for the common area. The only problem is that the assessment fee might end up being really high.
Even in a single family residence, you need to find a spot that you will label as a common area. If you live with a girlfriend or wife, you need to get this cleared up in the first few months. We all need out own little personal space. We need to set up boundaries with people that we live with. This will help prevent a lot of little fights or annoyances.
