There are a lot of options when it comes to you blog. You can set up a blog that has a lot of solid content. Or, you can set up a blog for monetization. It is best to try to do both with you blog. But, this can be pretty time consuming. It can be hard to set up a blog that people visit on a regular basis. I have been running blogs for over a year now. I have learned to keep certain types of blogs seperate.

I now try to set up blogs that try to support my main blog. I do this buy link building and link farming. But, because i want to also make some money during the process, i also set up blogs for monetization. I have a nice collection of blogs that help me make money. I use these blogs to build links and maybe flip for sale later. Buying and selling is the oldest form of business. I try to sell of a few of my developed blogs as well. It can add some nice side income to you wallets.
